I personally think the second game is better, but this is the first and is pretty good. Basically you use a plastic guitar and hand-eye coordinationation to hit notes. There are 5 buttons (strings), use of long notes, chords,etc. Many difficulties, but lacks two player.

if your playing on hard or expert heres an easy way to hit the orange button with out having to move your hand.

all you need to do is choose a hard song and pause it then tape down the green fret button so green will always be active . (note it doesnt work with any other buttons , only with the green)

if you dont believe me pay aattention to all the loading screens 1 will say you dont need to realease low fret buttons when you play higher notes. i dont know if it says it on GH1 but it does on GH2.
