Okami is one of the most unique and enjoyable games to have been released in its year. The player controls a wolf who is actually the great sun god Ameratsu. Thought the game, you use a "brush" to draw symbols that activate powers. You can make the sun rise by drawing a circle in the sky and the moon rise by drawing a moon. You acquire powers by finding the 12 lesser brush gods, who recognize you as Ameratsu, become a part of you can give you their powers. The game has a long and satisfying story line, and the art of the entire game is like a feudal Japanese painting, looking as though the entire game was actually indeed painted. The amount of detail in the artwork is astounding.
