Scary as hell!

I was surprised by how good this game was. I'm a huge fan of survival horror; games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil and this game held its own compared to them. This was the first launch game for the 360 (it debuted a couple of days before all the others) and launch games can be hit or miss. The atmosphere in the game is tremendous. Every level has plenty of jumpy parts to keep you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed the CSI part of this game, where you're using forensic tools to catch the serial killer you are pursuing. Similar to Silent Hill, the main character pops in and out of reality and you're left wondering what is real and what isn't several times. Drawbacks: The game is a bit on the short side, but with Condemned 2 just coming out, I feel like picking up a copy of that right away. The game play can also be a little repetitive because you're disposing of the bad guys in mostly the same ways. So man up and play in the dark with the surround sound cranked.
