Pretty fun!

I didn't have high expectations for this game but it sure met and surpassed my expectations. The amount of characters and the wide variety of them make this game a must for most comic book fans. The gameplay is great not only did raven bring back the 4 player but now its better than ever because when no one is around you can hop online and team up with people all around the world. The fix I am most happy with is now when a player gets stuck you can keep advancing and it will warp them back with the party so back tracking to get a character unstuck is pretty much a thing of the past. Also the addition of each outfit containing its own special boosts is another great addition. The grabbing of enemies is awesome punching them in the face then throwing them over the edge of a map is just so gratifying. Finally the voice overs have come and I have to say that each character acts like they should from spider-mans smart remarks to the crazy deadpool talking about stabbing a friend in the leg because he was going to eat the last cheesy puff is hilarious. The sounds of battle are better than the previous installments of Legends. The replay value is very high considering there are so many things to get and you have to play lots to lvl your characters all the way plus its just pure fun smash the most villains i have ever seen in any game! 20 characters is a lot to go through to find the best one but most players will already have a favorite when first starting the game The graphics suffer from time to time especially when there is a lot going on which causes the game to become very choppy. One big problem and the reason i gave the graphics such a low score had to do with the character models and the horrible lighting! At times when you get under light shooting in from above the map your unable to see yourself, enemies and your group and the shadows are not the right size in comparison with where you are standing. Otherwise besides those short comings i enjoy the look and the layout of the stages with the semi destructible environments. This is my first review so hopefully its helpful. I enjoy this game and so do my buddies and is great for group play. Many hours of sleep lost to this game already!
Amazing!!!

This Game i new would be amazing just by hearing that there was going to be 20 playable characters. And I found out it was. What I loved the most was all the little fight scenes against many different villians.. I would have given this really only 4 and half stars because after the game there really isn't much to do.. I really am not to fond of the online play that is why i think this but if you like the online play for this game you will have many many hours of fun.. This game has secrets around every corner. one glich that I found was that if you try to jump onto the stairs to get up them faster it will slide you back down them like a slide:) The black Panther figures are really hard to find also so if your stressing over that don't just go online and look up where they are thats what i did :):):)

About the game:
This game would be categorized as an action/RPG. You control a team of 4 super-heros between the players that are playing. In other words, if you have 3 players, there is 1 extra team mate that is AI driven unless someone chooses to use that character instead of the one they are currently using. There are more then 20 Marvel Heros to choose from Including Spider-man, Captain America, Blad, Wolverine, Iceman, among many others.
Single Player (Story Mode): 9/10
The story mode of this game is quite extensive. I originally thought that it was going to be pretty short, but after 8 hours of gameplay I just made it to episode 3, and from what understand there are a total of 5 episodes. You interact with a large number of Marvel characters, and a LARGE amount of super villains. There are a ton of costumes, powers, and various other things you can unlock for each character - let alone characters themselves that need to be unlocked. During story mode you pick up credits that can be used to purchase items for each of your super heroes.
Multiplayer: 9/10
I have only played multi-player on a local game with a friend. So this review is based on that alone, though you can also play the story mode over live, and I believe there is also a versus mode (which I have not tried at all). Considering the local and live multiplayer, and the two different modes that these can be played I think that the multiplayer mode is great. I also like that if you play co-op mode each team mate can switch to the remaining team members.
Graphics/game play: 8/10
The cut scenes look great, and the gameplay graphics aren’t too shabby either. Without the super powers this would be a little bland on gameplay, but having the ability to use a number of super powers for each character you play, and the ability to switch between the powers (and the characters) makes the gameplay extremely versatile. Even if you played the game through with one team, you could do it all over again with a completely different team, and completely different powers.
Achievements: 9/10
The achievements are split very nicely across the game. There are achievements for just completing the story mode of the game, and points for simply doing things in the game (such as defeating X enemies). There are also points for co-op play as well as arcade mode play. 46 achievements in all, and to get them all I think it would take an enough effort to keep you in the game for quite a while.
In Short..
This game has a nice story that will actually take you a while to complete. At times it can be challenging and your entire team might die, but for the most part if you play smart you will have no problems. There are a number of small little puzzles to figure out, and also a few side missions to complete as well. There are a ton of unlockables in this game, and a nice evenly distributed achievement point system. I have this on rental - but I would have no problem actually buying this title

The amount of playable characters is amazing in this game. And the unlockable and downloadable characters and costumes only add to the fun of this game. It's a great beat-em-up game with combos and of course super-powers. If you are a fan of any of the Marvel franchises, or even if your not, this game is a great way to have tons of fun while not having to spend hour after hour playing. It's a great game to play in little bits if you want, or all the way through!
