Another 'ok' game

This game is a little of a mixed bag. It lasts relatively long, the controls sort-of work and the gfx are ok. A rental maybe?
The story is split up into a few campaigns each with a handful of levels and last a fair bit. You are givin basic objectives which mostly translate to "rape and destroy a million baddies by yourself and your brainless squad." Dont worry though, your guy is so pumped with steroids and who knows what else that he can endure a bajilliom bullets to the gut and be perfectly fine 10 seconds later. This isn't a bad thing though: its kinda fun to jump in-between an enemy army and proceed to lay waste.
The controls get the job done but barely. It is in 3rd person so you can admire your ugly character. Aiming lags a lot when switching weapons and your aiming reticle moves in 1/4 inch increments. Somehow though your bullets always seem to hit a target (because theres so many of them).
The gfx are again ok. There's some good models but the textures are just plain awful. Each pixel of color is about the size if a pea and makes everything jagged and messy. Overall they dont hold a candle to Metroid Hunters. The sound is also boring and repetitive. There is often no in-game music so there are many silent points.
If you are starved for Ds shooters you should at least rent this.
