ONE HOT MAMA

Reviewed by ambaneuf on October 15, 2006  |  report this review

Well I really liked this game.....however it is too easy and over too soon. Took me maybe three hours and I'm not that great at games. Not enough incentive for getting better at recipes. It's fun to pick up and fry up some food just for a few minutes....but long term not a great investment. Hopefully there will be more in this series with more depth and replay value.

Cooking Mama Review

Reviewed by zsmiles430 on March 15, 2007  |  report this review

I thought this game was really cool since I enjoy cooking. The basics were given to you but for some of the things that you had to do in order to advance within the recipe you kind of had to learn it on your own and figure it out. Overall I loved this game but I have to agree it is short but sweet.

You may get carpal tunnel

This game is fun if you really like cooking and don't mind doing the same thing over and over. No story to it, just plain ol' cooking.

Its really fun for the first couple of hours when you try to get perfect scores on all the food. Then its kinda fun for another hour when you get to mix strange things.

The alll time women's or metrosexual chef's boredom game

Reviewed by raithyb on January 19, 2008  |  report this review

I thought I would give this a shot since it is so popular. but, really, maybe I didn't play it long enough, because I found it really tedious and boring. If you are a chef with an oedipus complex (with a masochistic twist cause dang isn't mama mean!), a cook that needs more very, very, very, very, very specific chopping skills, a bored housewife with an urge to cook something from your local chinese food restaurant, or a child with a food service career dream it's perfect for you. For me, 10 on the snoooze meter, 10 on the carple tunnel meter, and 1 on entertainment value and attraction to ever play it again, ever meter. Man, after that 30 minute long experience I don't even want to cook again or talk to my mama.
