The default factory settings can be reset by pressing and holding the A , B , X, Y , L Shoulder & R Shoulder buttons while starting the Browser. It's a little tricky to do by yourself, so maybe get a friend to hold some of the buttons. Make sure you press all of the buttons simultaneously when you're at the DS start up screen.

A window will as you to confirm your desire to restore all seting back to their defaults.

ok if u bought a used browser online and u cant get in because of the password heres what u do....first start up ur ds with the browser inserted, then u have to hold the stylus in ur mouth(i kid u not), ok now with that in place tap the screen to get to the game selection screen. ok nows heres the tricky part....u need to hold down the L and R shoulder buttons,as well as the x,b,up, and select buttons. now with all of those button held down select the browser with the mouth stylus, and itll be like u started the browser for the first time!

Be careful on purchasing or swapping for a used DS browser. Sometimes resetting the password works but often it will not. I purchased on on eBay which he thought was cleared but nothing would reset the browser. For your sake, make sure the used one you receive includes their password and that it works.

I found the browser works best with a fully charged DS.
