Gauntlet with depth

If you are a fan of the Gauntlet style hack-n-slash games, this is a game for you. It has some depth and strategy, and is a blast to play 4 player. The more you play, the more you unlock and it's great for fans of the X-Men. Luckily this game was a success because they built upon the greatness and made a sequel with more of the same, and then Marvel Ultimate Alliance which expands passed just the X-Men. Start here and work your way up.

The best team is Iceman, Colosus, Storm and Wolverine. The reason is because Iceman is quick and can make bridges, Colosus is strong, Storm can fly and Wolverine has the best Special move.
