Wow this is good!

This game has to be the most intense of all the super mario rpgs. A little short for the major players that sit and play for around 6 hours at a time (me and a few of my friends) but a wonderful game. The idea of the whole "galaxy" thing makes this game a lot of fun and worth buying instead of waiting for a trade. Just trust me, every wii owner, go to your local gamestop and buy this game. NOW!

Just when you thought Nintendo ran out of ideas for Mario, they throw him to outer space. The third true Mario 3D platformer has now officially become Mario's best adventure ever.
How can he survive out there is prolly not relevant, as the whole space theme pretty much leaves them open to do whatever they want as far as stage design. And it works perfectly. The game feels nostalgic, as in, you'll feel right at home if you played Mario 64, Sunshine, and the other Mario classics... yet there are so many new twists and surprises that this game will literaly keep you wanting more.
Stop reading and go get this game. With great graphics, amazing soundtrack, charming cast of characters, nostalgic references, good use of motion controls, and a challenging difficulty level, this is a 3D Mario game done right, and from now on the standards and expectations for Wii games are gonna be way higher than people had thought during the console's first year of life.
best game ever!

Wow, this game is outstanding! It's very addictive, but not exhausting like other games. Very fun! The game continues after you finish the story line, so you can keep playing and unlocking new things for a very long time!

Bowser attacks kingdom on festival, steals peach and the castle, puts a bunch of toads into crystal things, mario learns how to spin, you can fly some, theres different kinds of marios, you get to go to all sorts of places, not very difficult, very fun, pretty iffy on camera some, awesome boss matches, humorous toads(lol toad brigade), save peach, blah blah wont ruin ending blah blah blah blahblah blah blah blah blah blah blah kil bowser..blah...you save the day, get all 120 stars, the end. or is it?...
though i say so-so, this game definately rocked. too short to be put back in my top hall of fame but definately a good game that deserves to be bought and played. dont expect it to hold you over for a long time, because, if your like me, you'll prolly beat the story in one sitting, and get all 120 stars on the second one. the new stars, galaxies, and different gravities add an intriguing and awesome(yes, awesome) new style of play that redefine the gameplay on wii and is awesome beyond definition. the lumas, small baby star-like creatures are a new character to the kingdom and peach being kidnapped is contrare, nothing new to the kingdom.
once or twice i couldnt get my camera turned back for me and every now and then it got a little hard to navigate upside down and sideways.

First question is, is why not give this game a 5-star rating? This is definitely the best Wii game out no matter what your preference for games are.
The Scoop.....
The game takes a little getting used to considering I've never played a game where gravity makes such an impact. The game itself is not very difficult for a seasoned gamer, however it is very fun to play. The story didn't quite suck me in from the beginning, but as you play it picks up. The different suits and controls adds alot to the game. I know when my family plays it they can't wait to find a new type of Mario to become.
Overall when comparing to the games that are out (or coming out) for the 360 and PS3, the game is middle of the pack. As far as Wii standards, this game kicked in its door and went in firing. Definitely the best game produced for the Wii.

Puts the "Kick" in "Kick Ass"
I had my doubts at first, but then I saw Gamespot's video review of it and I knew that I had to get it. If you own a Wii, this is a must-have game for any gamer.

Super Mario Galaxy was Simply Amazing. This game will drop your jaw to the flow, spin it around, and shoot it back up to ya, and by the time you think you subsided, it will spin you around all over again. Super Mario Galaxy Takes you for an Intresting ride though numerous galaxys. You will be so anixous to see what the next galaxy will look like. There has never ever been a game like this, and that is why you will love it. Fly though space, Use the Wiimote for various different mario based moves. Point the Wii mote to shoot star bits all around. Shake it to spin. The object in gravity is the mind boggeling part. To see many spheres in orbit and to be able to jump on each on, run around it and jump to the nex is just amazing. you have to play it to understand what im talkin about but yeah. I enjoyed this game and I really not into this genre all that much. But this game was entertaining and exciting enough to keep me playing.

When I first got this game I was so excited and I found out there was 2 player. This game started to get really fun and I got addicted to it. The only problem is, this game is really short. I probably beat the game with 100% in a week. The gameplay was phenomal you won't believe. The graphics are the best out there right now for a wii game. The music was very catchy and easily could get stuck in your head.
If you are planning on getting this game, make sure you are used to the wii because some of the levels can get very hard.
I rate this game 4/5

At the time that Super Mario Galaxy had come out I had not intention of buying it. As much as I enjoy the Mario franchinse - I have purchased every platform mario game ever made not counting party-sport games. I was extremely busy with the many Xbox 360 games that I had purchased at the time of this games release. Well then I found out about a speical going on where if you purcahsed Mario
Galaxy you would get a $25 dollar gift card which meant $25 off of Assassins Creed which I had allready planned on purchasing. So I took that deal, but man did I have a hard time finding a store that would honor that special. So I got home with two games in hand, Mario Galaxy and Assassins Creed. Somehow Mario Galaxy ended up in the system while Assassins Creed sat on the side, and for about the next 2-3 weeks it remained that way. I could not - would not quit playing Super Mario Galaxy until I completed the original story. While the story behind this game was just so - so the gameplay itself has done great things for the franchise. I actually was hoping for some more out of it but hopefully we will get another installment this gen to see what else the plumber is capable of. So basically this went from a game that I was going to temproraly hold off on, to one of my favorite games in years. This is the must buy game for all Nintendo Wii owners, and the true system seller of the Nintendo Wii. I know when I repurchase a Nintendo Wii this game will eventually end up in my collection again. Super Mario Galaxy....

GOOOD>>>>Some of the best level designs of any 3D platformer Beautiful, colorful graphics Controls work just about flawlessly in nearly every situation Soundtrack is a delight Lots of stages and tons of stars to find and collect.
BAD>>>>>A couple of Mario's special suits can be frustrating to use Minimal amount of story doesn't tie everything together especially well.
Best since SMW.

I am an Avid video game player, that enjoys a new touch of freshness to the everyday shooter and platformer that arrives on my doorstep. I played Sunshine, Super Mario Brothers (for the DS), and several other Mario titles since I was a kid, and never has a game ever really chained me to it like Super Mario World has done over the years; until now.
Super Mario Galaxy starts out with a bang, allowing you to pick from several zones from the very start, as well as a nice introduction to the game that gets you the feeling of the game before you jump into it's no-gravity platforming. While the game may introduce the new Wii System controllers to allow "Motion Sensory" gameplay, that's not what in SMG that really grabs you; but the amazing quality and artwork that was introduced into the amazing game that we have. Look below for my cut and dry run down for the game.
Graphics: 10/10
Amazing, not only does SMG deliver some of the neatest looking graphics on a not-so next-gen system, but it pushes the art in a great direction for kids and adults alike.
Audio: 10/10
Although Mario games do not require much voicework, the Audio that is inside this package comes clean and great.
Gameplay: 10/10
The true "power" of the Wii is designed in this game, allowing you to control the Remote to gather and shoot Starbits and the Nunchuck is used to move yourself around, giving you the analog feel of the game in its no-gravity surroundings.
Overall: 10/10
I am a gaming fan that really did not care for the Wii in the beginning, but now i see the light of the system and what Nintendo has to offer for ourselves, and nothing deserves more then SMG for its intense kick it gave that im even still playing.

This game is just pure fun. I love the control shceme of mario. You can do high backflips, long jumps, high cart wheels...it's just entertaining to watch and play. There's so many missions in this game and the majority of them are fairly easy and just fun to do. I personally get a little tired of some of the songs from this soundtrack but it's bearable. Nintendo has really gotten creative with the wii remote for this game allowing you to shake and point it. It may not sound like much but the situations that you use it in the game are creative. Theres even a co op mode which aloows another player to grab star bits for you and hold enemies and some enemy projectiles making it extremely easy to beat them up. If you have a wii, you should defenitely pick up this game.

This game is purely original... so far it is the best game on the wii by far. Its just like super mario 64, but on freakin steroids... this adventure never ends. There are a couple things they could have made better tho. For example they needed to make more 'find Luigi' levels. For all of you who dont know, Luigi sends you a pic of where he is saying he is lost and needs u to find him and the only indictaion of where he is is on the pic he gives u. These adventures really test out how much u remembered in the game

Super Mario Galaxy was at first thought to be a bad idea for a game. They had already made Sunshine, and people who hadn't played that game thought they couldn't play this one. That is not the case. I, being someone who kind of enjoys Sunshine received this game for Christmas, and honestly didn't know what to expect. When I turned on the game, bright letters flashed at me saying the title of the game, like in Sunshine. I played for a while, and now I know that this game is AWESOME!!!!!!! Rent it, and you'll be amazed at the great storyline, which is true to the class of Mario, the smooth gameplay, and the cool gravity - shift!
