Piccolo Pixl

Hint by qweresa on May 19, 2007  |  report this hint

To get the Piccolo Pixl, you first must be able to visit Flopside. Visit Merlee on the second floor of Flopside and talk to her on the opposite side of the crystal ball. Next, talk to Merluvee in Flipside. Talk to Bestovious in Lineland. Talk to Watchitt in Yold. Then, give what Watchitt gave you to Bestovious. Give what Bestovious gave you to Merluvee. Give what Merluvee gave you to Merlee to get a key. Finally, go to the first floor of Flipside and open the locked door near the card shop. Go inside the house and open the treasure chest to get the Piccolo Pixl. Piccolo puts enemies to sleep. There are also special walls with a drawing of him engraved on it; you can use him to make the walls disappear, revealing secret items.

Game Arcade

Hint by Ellis07 on May 19, 2007  |  report this hint

If you go into 3-D mode while in the coffee shop in Flipside B1, you can access a gold pipe that will take you to an arcade where you can play three different arcade games using different functions of the Wii remote, winning prizes for top scores. A fourth game can be unlocked if you have a Gold Card (obtained in the Flopside Milk Bar by going 3-D and opening a treasure chest).

Easy rubies

Hint by qweresa on June 15, 2007  |  report this hint

In chapter 2-3, you will need a lot of rubies. Even in the VIP room, it will take forever for you to even get 10000. In any case, the combination for the VIP room is 5963. The combination beyond the electric fields is 41262816. That will give you 1,000,000 rubies. But to get there, you will need slim. Slim allows you to fit through tight spaces, and be invisible while motionless. To find slim, go to the base of the chapter. Jump onto the first level, then switch to Peach to float from that side to the other. Switch back to mario and flip, and you should see an arrow on the ground. Follow that arrow until you are past the barrier, then flip back. You will see a treasure chest which will hold Slim. Then go back and up to the top level, where the same thing will happen. There will be an arrow and you need to flip. Beyond the barrier, hit the block to create a ladder. Climb up that ladder to reach the electric fields.

Use Thoreau To Throw Boomer

Hint by qweresa on July 06, 2007  |  report this hint

When you have Boomer out, set him and as soon as he is set press plus, dont use the quick menu buttons (1+2) or you might blow him up. Switch to Thoreau very quickly and you can pick up and throw Boomer in a short amount of time to reach whatever you may need blowing up.

Whenever you get stuck, save the game near your current location. Then, take the return pipe back to Flipside and go to the fortune teller. Once you have your hint, press Home and reset the game. You will return to your save where you were stuck and the price of the fortune teller's services will never go up.

Style moves
After landing on an enemy to do damage, you can twist the Wii-mote in your hands and shake it to execute Style moves. Holding Jump during this attack will cause you to jump higher, thus giving you more time to shake and line up for a follow up attack. The more Style moves you do in a row, the higher your multiplier will be. This will greatly increase the pace at which you gain levels.

Tiptron
At the end of the game, you will not have Tippi anymore. If you want a robotic version of Tippi, go to Chapter 3-4 (Fort Francis), and buy Tiptron for 999 Coins. Tiptron has the same advantages as Tippi. You can use him the same way and shows you the same things.

Shortcut in Chapter 3-1
In Chapter 3-1, there is an underground portion. Near the end, there are elevators going up. Ride them up and walk along the top. You will come to an area with three warp pipes. Take the middle one to end up much closer to Bowser's castle.

Getting the Space Helmet in Chapter 4-1
When you first enter the door to Chapter 4-1, you will not be able to breathe and need to find a Space Helmet. Exit and see Merlon. He will tell you he has something, but realizes he gave it away. Go to the third floor in Flipside to find a kid holding a fishbowl. Speak to him and he will give it to you, but you must first find a place to release the fish. Go to Flipside B1. Go to the right until you find a body of water. A dialogue will appear, asking if you want to release him. Say "Yes" and he will be released. Go back to Chapter 4-1 and you will be asked if want to use the helmet. Say "Yes" and you can continue.

New Pixls
There are 4 other Pixls you don't need to beat the game, but they help.
Beat Francis in chapter 3-4, then find Barry behind a bush in chapter 3-1 Barry (Provides a force field that protects you and can hurt enemies)
Place the 6th pure heart, talk to Merlee and help her, talk to Merluvlee, then Bestovious, Watchitt, Merlumina, then Merluvlee to get Random House key Piccolo (Makes melodies that trigger in-game events and cures some status problems)
Use key found above Random House Entry
The bottom of Flipside Pit of 100 trials Dashell (makes you go really fast)
Buy it from Francis after you beat the game for 999 coins!!! Tiptron (Just like Tippi)
Items and stages
Get the Golden Card Extra Mini Game in the Flipside's Basement
Beat Flipside's Pit of 100 trials Flopside's Pit of 100 trials
Beat Chapter 1 and unlock the outskirt in Flipside

Inifinite 3D with Mario.
Beat Flopside Pit of 100 Trails twice and get Mario's Card. This will allow you to go in 3D for as long as you want.
Infinite Experience Easily
Need to get a level up, but keep dying in the Pit of 100 Trials? Then if you've beaten Chapter 5 (The one with the Crags and the Sapiens) go back to 5-4. Remember that pipe that just kept on sending out annoying Sapiens? Just jump on the block right next to it, then use Bowser's flame, and he just keeps killing the Sapiens, because they just keep coming out, that's 500 experience every 3 or 4 seconds and 10,000 or 7,500 every minute!

how to make low priced/low cure items better

Hint by RebelRequiem on August 14, 2007  |  report this hint

remember when you had to go to the cook who made a sort of soup to wake peach up? Buy items from the underground salesman or the shop (eggs, shroom shakes etc) and bring them to her. She'll make them better items by turning it into a new dish that cures hp problems. Dont give her an item twice though thinking she'll make an even better one, it will only blow up and be called a "mistake" and will only cure 1hp and will only sell for 1coin.

Flopside pit of 100 trials

Hint by kotik2006 on October 31, 2007  |  report this hint

Here are some of my tips for completing the Flopside pit of 100 trials:
1.Cook and carry the max health items, don’t worry about carrying attack items. I highly recommend cooking the Emergency Rations = made out of Shroom shake and Fire Burst. These will restore 10 HP outside the 2 Pits, but inside the Pits they will restore 50HP
2.Carry 1 Block-Block ( makes you invincible) or even better carry a Block Meal and use it when you are defeating Dark Mario, Dark Peach, Dark Browser
3.Here is something I discovered and I haven’t seen posted on any gaming boards – Try to go through the Flopside Pit of 100 trials as Mini-Bowser. Switch to Bowser, as soon as you enter a level use the Dottie Pixl to switch to Mini-Bowser. All the enemies will immediately stop attacking! You can now easily go and flame them. Note that your fire breath causes the same amount of damage as when you plays as Big Bowser.
Good luck!

Get Unstuck

Hint by mugsy520 on December 26, 2007  |  report this hint

If you get stuck somewhere, try switching characters and/or going into 3-D. Each character has a special ability (like Peach's parasol) that can help advance you even farther.

Dont Cheat!

Hint by hempaholic on February 10, 2008  |  report this hint

My tip is ....... Don't use a guide or cheat online for help. Play the game all the way through. It's much more satisfying. Plus when you finally beat the game and your a little sad because its over, you have so many secrets to go back and find!
