This game has excellent graphics and sound, but other than that is not enough to keep me interested. Literally played it for 45 minutes with 4 friends and returned it to th ebox never to open again. Anybody in for a trade LOL

A palatable X-men Legends 3 in a thin disguise

I like the X-men Legends RPG/Action games. To anyone who is familiar with them, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is clearly X-men Legends 3 with some extra characters and missions. I'm a comic book geek who eats up the comic book games like candy, so it doesn't always take a lot to get me to an enjoy a game with my favorite characters, just that it not suck. This game does not suck. It can be quite fun and action filled. On the other hand you go through many tedious quests and missions, and much of the game feels unfinished. When this game was hyped last year there were more characters said to be available for play, and while you'll see some in cameos they never quite made it to playable character status. Also the PS3 is supposed to be lush and beautiful and amazing, but you can't tell it in this game. It looks very very similar to a ps2 game in fact, and apart from extra shine on characters muscles and foreheads, I really can't tell much of a difference. Some of this game is tons of fun, other parts make me want to wince, but if you like cooperative comic book RPGs (and let's face it there aren't a lot of them) then this game will satisfy your need until they put out the sequel.

To be honest... my brother made me get this game saying its gonna be amazing, and it really wasnt so great. The online system SUCKS... its the WORST online game ever created. also, the game is always so zoomed out, and when u zoom it in, it automatically zooms out again. The characters and missions are pretty cool and the graphics are good, but i wouldnt recommend anyone buying this game for 50 bucks.... i guess thats why say swap came along lol

Ive played the previous two games on this platform: X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends 2. This game is quite a bit better than those games graphically, though the control scheme is the same and the game can still frustrate at times with its camera system.

All in all a very decent game. If you are the type of gamer that wants to max out their characters and get all the possible unlocks, then this is easily a 30 to 40 hour game. If you just want to play straight through once, completing a side mission every now and then, axpect 15 to 20 hours.

if you have a ps3 you must get this game it is amazing. its a great multiplayer game where you can have up to four players at once all on the same team or co-op mode. you can also make your own marvel team made up of 4 charaters and there are tons of characters to chose from. plus the gameplay is great and you can pick up weopons like swords and spears and then you can throw them. So if you want a very good game you have to buy Marvel Ultimate Alliance!

now after completing resistance fall of man (the best game on PS3 at the moment with best graphics, story, sounds )now going on 4 times this game didn't even put a sparkle in my eye,
now I own every PS3 game apart from 4 and this isn't one of the worst but isn't one of the greats either,
the graphics are good but not good enough for next gen and sound the same, simple !
now nothing about this game made me think it was rubbish apart from the camera angle is really annoying,
this isn't a game you would buy to sit down and crack on through it its more of a game you and ya mates play, with all the characters there is bound to be one to bring you back to your childhood,
but on a serious note ONLY BUY THIS GAME IF YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH FRIENDS NOT ON YOUR OWN, the game play and story just isnt good enough to keep you griped on one player and you will be tempted to turn it off. still get some mates and enjoy super heroes do what they do best, BE SUPER. enjoy

This game has only one good thing, and that is very simplre to agee upon probably... IT IS THE INTRODUCTION... after you see the introduction of this game with those amazing and comical graphics you are off down hill.

Waste of money. I give it a .05/10
